FAQ Series - How Two Moose Home Inspections Got Started

Hey, this is Jon with Two Moose Home Inspections, and welcome to the Frequently Asked Questions Series.

Today’s video will center around who I am and how Two Moose Home Inspections got started.

Before becoming a home inspector, I worked in a very stressful career field that required long hours and had many work-related hazards. My wife and I decided that it was time for a change and my interests and history with construction and building science set me down the path of residential home inspections. 

I couldn’t settle on a business name that I liked, and at the time I started my business, we had two moose that would visit our house almost every day to eat our vegetation. One morning my wife and I were watching the two moose out of our window and I asked her what I should name the company, and she said, “How about Two Moose Home Inspections?” The name stuck and I couldn’t be happier.

I completed all of my educational requirements, became a certified professional home inspector and started my business in August of 2018. Each year I complete more than the required number of continuing education credits, and I am constantly reinvesting in the business to provide the best product possible to my clients.

Owning a home inspection company has been great, and I am so happy to have met as many wonderful people as I have, and I feel honored to be granted the privilege to provide my expertise.
