FAQ Series - How Long Will a Home Inspection Take?

Hey, this is Jon with Two Moose Home Inspections, and welcome to the Frequently Asked Questions Series.

Today’s video will center around the inspection timeline that Two Moose Home Inspections follows.

At Two Moose Home Inspections, we try to be as flexible as possible. We all have obligations that pull us in every direction, and that is why our hours of operation are from early in the morning to late in the day 7 days a week. If we are not currently booked out for the day we always do our best to fit you into our schedule.

When scheduling an inspection, make sure all components of your inspection are completed before your inspection objection deadline. Not only do you want to schedule your inspection to be completed before this deadline, but you also want to have all of your testing completed before this deadline.  A few things to consider; a radon test will take a minimum of 48 hours to be completed, the inspection report will be sent to you within 24 hours of the initial inspection, and you and your realtor may need time to discuss the issues found and create the documents required to ask for those issues to be fixed.

Once the inspection is scheduled, we send you a confirmation which includes the pre-inspection agreement and the invoice which can be paid online with a credit card. We then contact the listing agent and get the access codes or keys needed to enter the property.

If you are present on the day of the inspection, we go over everything we found with you while we are both onsite to help you understand the systems that are in your house. After the visual inspection of the house has been completed you should expect to see the link for the inspection report in your inbox within 24 hours.

After everything is wrapped up please stay in contact. I like hearing how things went with the property, and I want to make sure that you know that I am always available for questions or insight.
