Certified Home Inspector

Jon Diurba is a certified professional inspector the owner of Two Moose Home Inspections. All of our inspectors must meet the requirements to be Certified Professional Inspectors before they are allowed to lead their on-site training with Two Moose Home Inspections.

Our Inspectors’ certifications require annual refresher courses and continued education. We also provide our inspectors with monthly in-service training. All of our inspectors complete an in house training program with Two Moose Home Inspections along with over 90 credit hours of coursework before they are allowed perform an inspection by themselves.

Our Process

Two Moose Home Inspections prides itself on providing the best possible home inspection that we can, and we have invested tens of thousands of dollars into software and data collection to ensure that we are on the cutting edge of technology and reporting.

Every home inspection includes thermal imaging which helps us find issues that are invisible to the naked eye and 360 photographs. 360 photographs give you a clear picture of the condition of the home on the day of the inspection.

We are always happy to have you join us during the home inspection and with COVID-19 we request that you wear a mask and follow generally accepted safety procedures. During the inspection we welcome questions and we really enjoy educating people about the systems found in a house.

We have a series of checklists during our report writing process the ensures that we do not miss any critical system. We have a workflow that we perform while at the house that allows us to leave the house the way that we found it while checking for everything that we need to check.

Once the inspection is complete we upload our photos to a cloud based server to ensure that nothing ever gets lost or deleted. Our reports are also online and cloud based which allows you to access your report from anywhere on any device. Once you have received your inspection report we are always available to answer your questions.

Educating You

Our goal is to educate you about the systems and features of your new home and to let you know what is normal within a house and what is of serious concern. Buying a home can be stressful and that is why we want to build your knowledge and understanding so you can make an informed decision with confidence.

There really is no such thing as a house that can’t be fixed, because every house was built by a person and that means that the house can be fixed by a person. The real issues is that some houses have more things wrong with them than you may be willing to deal with, and that is ok. The important thing is that we really want you to feel comfortable knowing that every house has something and that you can handle the vast majority of the issues that could be found.

Our Technology

The complexity of a modern home makes it a necessity to have software that is tailor made for the home inspection industry. This software reduces the likelihood of missing something and provides you with a detailed electronic report that can be printed. Our software is cutting edge and we believe it has the best user interface available on the market.

Our radon detectors utilize double the required number of sensors working in tandem to ensure an accurate measurement. Our cameras include standard cameras, thermal cameras, sewer scope cameras, borescope cameras and 360 cameras to ensure that you are able to see in your report what we are able to see during the inspection. We have actively monitoring CO detectors to keep you and the inspector safe during the inspection. Our sewer scopes are self leveling and in full color.

The equipment that we use allows us to provide you the best inspection that we can with great accuracy and confidence.

24 Hour Reporting

Your time is important and that is why our reports will be complete and delivered to you electronically within 24 hours of the end of the inspection. We do our best to complete all of the inspection reports by the end of the day on the day of the inspection, but sometimes we need a little more time write everything up.

Standard Services

Every home that we inspect includes thermal imaging and 360 photographs. We also do our best to enter every attic and crawlspace, but sometimes we are unable to get into those spaces because of shelves that are installed below the attic access or a crawlspace access that was covered over by the new flooring install. We use moisture meters, voltage meters and constantly monitoring CO detectors to keep our inspectors and clients safe during the inspection. We also have advanced electrical testing tools and bore scopes on our tool belt at all times. If you want more information about what we carry on our tool belts or questions about the company we have videos to explain that.

Add-On Services

At Two Moose Home Inspections we offer several services at an additional charge. These services include; Sewer Scope Inspections, Radon Testing, Water Testing, Well Recovery Testing, and Walking on Roofs. More information can be found about each of these services by clicking on the links.

The main thing to understand is that each one of these services are offered for a purpose and if an issue is found, the resolution will cost between $2,000 and $30,000 depending on the severity of the issue so it is very worthwhile to test the house before you buy. Hopefully if an issue is found the seller will either repair the issue, give you a credit, or meet you halfway in fixing the problem

Flexible Schedule

We all have responsibilities throughout the day, from work to taking the kids to after-school activities.

The home inspection itself takes about two and a half hours, and if you need a home inspection to start early in the morning before you go to work, or in the evening after the family has had dinner, we are happy to work within your schedule. You are always welcome to join us during the inspection, but if it is easier not to be present on the day of the inspection our reports will alert you to an issues and our 360 Photos will allow you to feel like you were there.

Detail Oriented

At Two Moose Home Inspections, we have a strong desire to keep the quality of workmanship at the highest levels. Each of our inspectors is required to complete 90 credit hours of training with the International Association of Certified Home Inspectors prior to the start of field training. Our field training program includes hands on, research, and computer training. The three phases of our training consist of a Follow & Observe phase, Collaborate & Learn phase, and the final Lead & Report phase.

Our inspectors are employees, not sub-contractors, so we have a significant amount of control over the final product to ensure you get the best inspection that we can offer.
